Manchester United take on Newcastle United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon as the Reds return to Premier League action.

Erik ten Hagsaw his side leave it late in the Europa League on Thursday night, asScott McTominayscored a 93rd minute winner against Omonia Nicosia. The 1-0 win was not what many expected going into the match, as the Cypriot visitors put up a stubborn defence to keep out all but one ofUniteds34 attempts during the game.

The result sees United remain just three points behind Real Sociedad in Group E, meaning that the Reds trip to Spain on November 3 will prove to be the decisive factor in their ability to top the group or not.

All eyes now turn back to the Premier League, where Eddie Howes Newcastle will travel to Old Trafford this weekend. The Magpies, who are currently one point behind United in sixth place, are unbeaten in their last four matches and have only lost one game this season, against Liverpool.

Newcastle will present a tough test for Ten Hags side, as the Reds look to win their fourth successive match in all competitions. Sundays game presents the first of three matches in a week for United, with the Premier Leagues congested fixture schedule beginning to test the clubs squad depth.
