Coventry Cityfans have had their say after it was confirmed thatMike AshleysFraser Group had been successful in gaining control of the CBS Arena.

The sportswear tycoons retail group secured the Arena lease after the appointment of administrators paved the way for the completion of a 17m purchase of the stadium operators business and assets.

New Sky Blues ownerDoug Kinghad made a late attempt to head off the Fraser Group bid, but his 25m offer was not deemed to have sufficient substance, leading to a court ruling in Ashley favour.

The BBC reported: Mike Ashleys Fraser Group now owns the CBS Arena. Judge Prentice said there wasnt enough substance in Doug Kings 25m offer to consider delaying orders at this late stage. He did say that more money would be attracted and looked at five other offers that had come in and fallen away prior to the Frasers Group bid being agreed.
